I have plenty of experience with serial communications using the arduino, PCs, barcode scanners using serial output via rs232 and USB simulated serial ports. Laboratory instruments and balances using rs232. And serial communications using ttl level signals. I'll be able to find the problem, provide a solution, and explain why the problem happened.
