Assume you have a GPS device which produces coordinates in decimal degrees, (e.g. 40.4314,
-111.8896). Write a function that accepts the last two points produced by this data stream and returns a
string depicting a direction on the compass.
N – North
NNE – North north east
NE – North East
ENE – East north east
E – East
ESE – East south east
SE – South east
SSE – South south east
S – South
SSW – South south west
SW – South west
WSW – West south west
W – West
WNW – West north west
NW – North west
NNW – North north west
Here is the function prototype: String get_direction (lat1, long1, lat2, long2);
The first two parameters is the starting point, the next two is the ending point. So for example if the
starting point were Lehi Utah (40.391617, -111.850769) and the ending point were Fairbanks AK
(64.835365,-147.776749) the function would return “NW”.
To make this exercise easier you may assume a perfect rectangular earth no wrapping, meaning Tokyo
will be evaluated as being East of San Francisco, not west.
Hi,
Hope you are having a good time.
we can do that for you, We have developed many apps for sensor and compass.
We have developed over 100 apps and having experience in IT and mobile development for more than 5 years.
We can complete this task according to your requirements with minimum time.
We look forward to hear from you.
Thank You
The problem is : Taking the starting point(lat, long) as the centre of reference, we have to find the direction that the ending point is in.
I have worked as a software developer(experienced in Java, C) for more than 5 years and coded many products. I will use Java to code the given problem. For any further details , you may message me this platform.
