The project is a home security system. There are two Apps in this project.
1. Companion App - This app is for Home owner where he/she can download and register themselves and it will integrated with the app at Door Dashboard
2. Door Dashboard App : It will be placed at Door where a guest user can come and use the app tp do couple of options like CALL BUTTON, MESSAGE BUTTON, KEY BUTTON. It will be like a door bell where if some one is outside and asking permission to enter.
Call Button will initiate the call to the companion app.
Message button will prompt the user to enter their name and message and will send that to app.
Key button on pressing will ask for a pin code that owner can set on from their companion app if it is a match then it just need to display authenticated.
The Door Dashboard device will do a live stream video using WebRTC or RTSP to companion app. So that the home owner can see the guest from his/her mobile app.
The Dashboard device also needs to detect motion and face if it detects that then it needs to record and upload the video to our server.
The Home owner can use Companion App and see live stream video, should allow user to change name, address and other information and Dashboard device needs to update in realtime once the changes are pushed.
Workflow:
User turns on the Dashboard device they are asked to enter a unique code.
User then goes to play store to download the companion app,
User uses the app to sign up after entering all the use info completion of signup a unique token gets generated (UUID). This token is only associated to a particular user. The user retrieves the token by clicking on "Set up new device" from sidebar. Users copies that and enters the code into the Dashboard device and hits enter.
Now the Dashboard device is authenticated and can retrieve all user info. Dashboard device goes to its home page displays the weather according to the location the user entered while signing up, Displays current time. Displays live camera feed (front facing camera). It displays the User's Name, House NUMBER is BIG BOLD text under that it displays Address.
Below that Dashboard device has couple of options like CALL BUTTON, MESSAGE BUTTON, KEY BUTTON.
