I’ve written a vumat to simulate a viscoelastic behaviour with progressive damage. The subroutine works fine until there is large pressure in the element (in a single element case) and the damage starts to slightly increase the element deformation rate. There should be something wrong with the damage formulation. I need someone who is experienced in writing vumats for Abaqus to have a look at the code and resolves the issue.
