I would create a functional, fresh looking and easy to use interface for this website/web application that you are looking for. I would use Zend Framework 2 (it's written in PHP) as a base for the programming end of things, which will create the functions like searching, ordering, ect. The website I would create would have a good user interface, I would use jQuery and AJAX, which will enable fewer page refreshes - in turn decreasing the amount of time a user needs to use the site. Here is how I would plan to go about setting up the site: The first thing would be the user system - that would be the first page people saw they'd have to login. Different user's might have different roles - I can see at least two to three that are needed. One for managers, the basic users who will be able to order phones, search for phones, examine their history and current orders. Another account for John to add and manage user accounts, export current orders and mark them as done when they are, view user history, add and manage phones, categories of phones (and even phone related products). While the user system is the first step, I've listed the other areas I'd work on as the pertain to the users. I might use OpenCart to run the site (Magento seems a little to heavy for the job). I'm not sure if the site will be accepting money, but if it does Paypal is always a solid option. I would love to hear more details on the project - let me know if you are interested in hiring me!
