We need a desktop application done in VB and map integrated using map-window. Its about cable being laid and repaired when need be. Cable laid longitudinally .. can get cuts to it , that even be recorded and recalled when need be Enclosed pls find the front end snapshot of the software .. where in map of Rajasthan would be used identifying it lat & long coordinates for user interface A log book would get created by add new , and a report could be called at subsequent occasion . Hope the enclosed attachment clarifies it better.

I had worked on this type of project for one of my Industrial Gas Supplier client. They lay the Gas pipeline and transport gas using containers, I had designed an application with Bing Maps to include the functionality you require. The application also has a hand held module to be used on Windows Phones. Working with Google Maps is not an issue, I can complete the task in designated time and affordable amount.
