Project: Create a database UPDATE page with using radiobuttonlist control and previously selected value.
Requirements:
.net
VB
I have a database created from a registration form – would like registrants to be able to go in and edit their ‘session’ choices.
What I’d like to see:
Client enters their unique conference registration code (stored in table 00_MainRegistration | confcode)
If successful match in database:
From 00_MainRegistration, pull their FirstName , LastName, Attendance, [ThursdayPM, FridayAM, FridayPM, FridayRepeat, SaturdayAM ] – These are their session choices for those days from the registration form and are found in a Sessions Table grouped by session blocks.
Based on Attendance selection (eg only display update fields on which days are they are attending) show the full session list in a radiobuttonlist with their previously selected session selected.
Note: the query to populate the radiobuttonlist should also be able to count the number of registrants in 00_MainRegistration for each session and un-enable that [login to view URL] if current registrations are full compared to a max room size in another table [rooms].
Note: each session also has a None value (999) appended to the datasource values
This should happen for each of the five sessions above (although one may be dropped entirely)
The FridayRepeat session block is actually in a separate table.
If unsuccessful match to conference code – the registrant should be presented failure message an option to retrieve the confirmation code using email address used and the last name to have the confirmation code emailed to them.
See attached for a bit more details.
