I'm looking to automate a repetitive task... Every day I have a new folder of product images, named depending on the product view, never more than 5 product views. File names for example: "[login to view URL]" or "[login to view URL]" or "[login to view URL]" or "[login to view URL]" After editing the images, I have to open a corresponding .xls spreadsheet which is the shotlist for each day's folder of images. There is a column named "Product Code" that contains the first 9 digit code from the image file names. I need to create a script that will search the spreadsheet and mark off the images that are accounted for. There is a separate column named "RT" where I mark the cell red if there is finished image. Sometimes there are images without a matching excel entry, sometimes there are entries without a corresponding image. I don't think this is a difficult project for someone familiar with Applescript. I think that your project is feasible, after some clarification: - how would the script know where the image folder and the excel file are located?
