A Bi-polar Junction Transistor (BJT) needs to be designed in a software called Advance Design System (ADS) Software. Please read the [login to view URL] document attached carefully before bidding on this project. Approach and requirement of the project is in the file "[login to view URL]". This is the main file for the work. Project Description: Design a low noise amplifier using an Infineon RF transistor BFP640. The amplifier is to be used to amplify the L2 GPS signal and so the centre frequency is 1227MHz and bandwidth 40MHz. The requirements over the entire bandwidth are: a noise figure of less than 1.0dB, a gain of 20dB ±0.3dB and S22 should be less than -15dB. The circuit will be used in a portable device. Everything else is in the zip file regarding this project. You can access the data sheets and other material required for the coursework aswell. In the guideline it is written how to download the software. Dont worry about it. I will send you the link myself for the ADS software to download if you are not able to download it yourself. Example sheet 1, 2 and 3 are there so that you get familiarised with the software. You can also youtube for the video tutorials.

hi, I am an electrical engineer and using ADS since last 10 years and I can easily do this task. I have ADS-2008 version with me and I think ADS is not that simple that you can master with a couple of tutorials and YouTube videos. please let me know when to start work on the project. regards
