Hi!
I would be interested in working with you.
I’ve worked as a copyeditor and proofreader for the past 14 years in an academic setting and also as a freelancer. I have experience editing scholarly articles in various fields, as well as popular works. I've done quite a bit of editing in British style.
I received a PhD in Comparative Literature from Indiana University, and published a book based on my dissertation. I taught literature and English composition at the college level for many years.
I have a sharp eye for editing and proofreading. In addition to teaching, I worked as copy editor of Clio, a scholarly journal.
I currently work as a freelance editor for Enago, an online editing service. The assignments I’ve worked on range from business to psychology to literature to history to telecommunications. I am also an editor for Newgen Knowledge Works and have edited a number of scholarly and professional books.
I've edited dissertations and theses for authors from the Middle East, Chile, Korea, Russia, New Zealand, Iran, Spain, Germany, Kenya, and Japan.
My copyediting is highly accurate, and I’m conscientious about meeting deadlines.
I’ll be glad to send you a resume on request. My rates are negotiable, depending on the level of editing required and the length of the thesis.
Thanks for considering my bid. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Leigh
