Description: A scalable data backup program that will be responsible for backing up network documents and information periodically.
When a customer is setup, a one time data transfer will occur, and then each night only the modified files will be sent to our Linux servers. Online statistics and an automatic email will be required to notify that backup has been completed. Also, users should be able to restore their data from the web. Deleted files will be saved for 7 days.
Requirements: - Easy implementation for customers. Setup happens in 4 steps ??" 1. Install application on client machine 2. Select what server the data will be going to (IP), 3. Select what directories are being backed up 4. Select frequency of backup, daily, weekly, monthly, etc. - Secure transfer and storage of data. - Auto email. An auto email to let the customer know if backup has occurred. - Website for statistics and restoring data. How much data was backed up, what was backed up. - Decent compression. Compress files decently.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
Client will be on WINDOWS XP. Backend server will be on Redhat Linux. Webportal to be programmed in PHP5 OO. No preference for client application language.
