Automatic Computer Reboot

I have a small programming project based somewhat on the program RSU: Remote Shutdown Utility. (<[login to view URL]>) The software I need must reboot my computer when it detects the loss of an active internet connection (reboots if the computer is unable to access the internet via a broadband connection). For example: the software is configurable by me to check for an active internet connection every x # of minutes. It can test for the active internet connection by pinging a certain site and/or any other reliable means of testing for an active internet connection. If an active internet connection cannot be found it checks again in x # of minutes. If an active internet connection is not found on the second check it does the following: #1. Sends two separate ATDT commands to my modem with a string of numbers I specify such as "ATDT15555551212,,,,,,9119119911#" which will page my pager and then my cell phone to inform me that it failed to detect an active internet connection. #2. Waits x # of mintues after performing operation # 1 then will request a shutdown of all running applications and if the running applications do not respond it will force them to end so that the shutdown procedure is successful and the computer is rebooted. If upon rebooting an internet connection is found the software will page me back again with a pre-set string. If an active internet connection is not found then the system will not perform another reboot for x # of minutes. This is in case there is a service outage for an extended period of time and to prevent a continuous reboot loop. Thank you for your consideration. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows XP Home
