Alter password field and storage in open soucre .NET program

I need the password field of an open source .NET program to be changed so it does not display the password. I also need the settings file to be altered so that the password is not stored in plaintext. I guess you could use the username and a two way hash, since Im not looking for something that can't be cracked, I just want it obscured. I also need the program to start minimized to the task bar. As it is, the program hides in the task bar when it is minimized, so I guess the only alteration would be to make it start minimized. Since the program is open souce, the alterations will be made public. The program is called IceIP and can be found [here][1].
