I need help adding content to my Outdoor Directory website I'm putting together. I've been talking to a few Equestrian organisation about joining my website. They are very keen to be listed and adding their events/show diaries to the website.
But due to the way their website's and systems work they cant provide a excel document so they would have to be copied and re-entered to the website one by one then the account handed to the relevant organisation on completion.
I am looking too add some equestrian organizations events & show diaries to my website under their own accounts which they will control once everything have been added. (the listing will also link back to the organizations appropriate show or event page to stay up-to-date with the latest news for that event or show)
I have been told there are two ways to achieving this:
1, The first is what I was thinking when posted this listing. Adding the events one by one from the organizations website to my website. This would be time consuming doing alone and would have to be repeated at least once a year when the diaries change.
2, The second is too Make:
“a PHP Crawler tool...This will be separate for each website ... add events to your site and then even we can make excel files during this process for further use” (This a direct quote from one company who have contacted me on here)
I am more inclined towards the second option as seems less time consuming and would be handy when I talk to other organizations. As they could request to have their facilities and events diaries added. Also when the organizations change the diaries the tool can update the new changes to the website with little too no problems.
Please could you let me know if your still interested, If you have any ideas that would be better?
