Automatically convert files to PDF

Hello I wonder if you can help. I would like to be able to convert files (images, Word, Excel etc.) into PDF format automatically. i.e. When I save my files to a certain folder on my network or local drive (a pre-determined folder) the program will 'watch' this folder for arriving files and will convert them to PDF as they arrive. The PDF will use the same file name as the original and there also needs to be an option to save the new PDF into a folder other than the original folder (again pre-determined in the program's configuration) and also a pre-configured option to delete the original files. I currently use PDF995 ([url removed, login to view]) and it works very well but is manualy operated via the 'Print' command (like Adobe Distiller). PDF995 is very cheap and so I though it would therefore be possible to write a similar program which I would then like to include into my existing VB project, with the only difference being that my requested program would be automatic and does not require the user to use the 'Print' function within the application that they are using.
