I am trying to develop a custom hardware integration device that will support a very high throughput and request response times.
The idea revolves around having a hardware-device(doesnt have to be microprocessor based) that provides multiple 'arrays' of processing units that can each process an incoming message [login to view URL] also uses an inbuilt load balancer that can route the message to a channel that is least busy or free.
A third feature of the product would be a dynamic memory refresh whereby a component's memory can be dynamically refreshed without having to bring down the entire device.
There is an existing patent application on this concept and the project involves two [login to view URL] I involves brainstorming the potential solutions and Phase 2 will invlove prototyping.
This project is for Phast 1 only.I am specifically interested in hearing from folks with experience of parellel processing and grid computing.
