I need is some kind of database solution (I think), ? where I will pre-load access codes and then when an organisation makes a purchase via Paypal they are provided with the number of codes they have purchased. ## Deliverables * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Tuesday Jul 22, 2008 7:35:26 AM: Don't know if the following will help everyone. I have a normal html web site which has been put together by myself. It is hosted on a linux server with cpanel access, therefore I can use Fantastico to create databases etc. but follow instructions rather than know what I'm doing! The e-learning package I use is an off the shelf package which runs on a seperate windows server as this is the only way it will work. The paypal integration is part of the e-learning system, but only for purchase by individuals, that's the main problem. If an organisation wanted to buy the course for 10 employees, as it stands at the moment they would have to pay 10 seperate times which is not practical. People can access my courses a number of ways: a. As an individual via Paypal which is integrated within the e-learning package, access code not required via this method; b. As an individual if they have one of the unique unique access codes which the e-learning package will have previously generated, or; c. By me manually logging them into the sytem. What I'm trying to sort out is b. with the unique access codes generated by the e-learning package being stored in a seperate sytem/database and then being issued in multiples depending upon how many codes are bought by an organisation. The e-learning package will generate the access codes and it is then these codes which need to be manually put into the new database, a person will purchase multiple access codes and then distribute these codes to their employees. I do not want the purchaser to be able to link into the existing e-learning package database, I want it seperate. This is how I envisage it all working: 1. People visit my web site and decide they want to take the course, let's say the course costs £15. 2a. If they are an individual it's easy. They click the link to the e-learning course they choose, this links to the course on the windows web server. They will fill in the registration form, click the Paypal link, this takes them to Paypal, they pay the £15 and are then automatically re-directed back to the e-learning course and access is granted automatically. They do not need any access code using his method and the internal programming within the e-learning software takes care of all this automatically. 2b. If they are an organisation and want to purchase the course for 10 employees. They visit the web site, click the 'purchase' option. This links to an e-commerce part on the main web site where I've installed 'OSCommerce' shopping cart. They would select to purchase 10 courses costing a total of £150. The checkout button then links to Paypal where they pay £150. 3. This next bit is where I need assistance. After paying for 10 people at Paypal, I need the person who has just paid to be automatically issued with 10 unique access codes taken from the 'second 'database'. These codes will have been uploaded by me and be the same ones that the e-learning package has previously generated and stores in it's own database/system. 4. As the 10 unique access codes are issued, they need to be removed at the same time from the second database so that they can't be issued more than once. 5. The person who has paid will then issue these access codes to 10 employees, one each. These employees will then enter the access code when they register. The code will match the ones already stored by the e-learning package and access will be granted. Hope this further explains what I am looking for!
