CUSTOM CONTACT/INVENTORY MGMT GUI & DB MS ACCESS
[login to view URL] is interested in creating a custom contact (lead) management system, integrated with an inventory management system. ? In the future, we will also be integrating a computer call center, logging each phone call and internet chat into an integrated contact management system / inventory management system.
MS Access 2007 is the proposed platform for this system, so the GUI and database structuring will all be built in MS Access 2007.
The lead management system will need to include date, name, phone number, address, email address, information about vehicles, and scheduled call-back times, as well as a way to track the priority level of different leads and will need to have some sort of call-back reminder for operators.
The inventory management system will need to be fully integrated with the contact management system, so that if a vehicle is purchased from a lead, the information is available in the inventory management system as well.
A VIN decoder will need to be integrated, to allow year/make/model/style of vehicle to be populated simply by entering a VIN.
There are some PDF forms that will need to be able to be populated, or overlaid with information, and then printed from screens in the system. ? These will be DMV forms, vehicle assignment forms, etc. which need to be printed directly from the Access GUI.
LEAD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Entry screen:
VIN/CA Plate?/Plate number/Name/Year/Make/Model/Color/Odometer/Customer Description/Title Type/Title Brandings/Phone number(s)/Email address/Mailing address/Call-back date/Appointment time/
I am expecting a CMS template to be used for the bulk of the Lead Management System coding, and the Inventory Management System coding will just be laid upon the top of it.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Overview screen:
Preferably a screen similar to an Excel worksheet, which can be scrolled through to view the essential components of the database ??" Year/Make/Model/Price Paid/Date Purchased/City Purchased/Tow Method/Tow completed/Actual Sale Price/Check Amount/Check Date/Profit booked/
Each vehicle listed in the overview should be clickable to open the Entry screen.
The vehicles should be grouped in weeks ??" Monday through Sunday, and at the end of each week of vehicles should be a “Gross Profit?? amount, calculated based on the “Actual Sale Price?? minus “Price Paid?? or, if there is no “Price Paid??, “Check Amount??.
Entry screen:
CA Plate?/Plate number/VIN/Year/Make/Model/Color/Odometer/Customer Description/Field Analysis/Title type/Title Brandings/Price paid/Auction Announcements/Requested Sale Price/Projected sale price/ Pickup location/Date Purchased/City Purchased/Buyer Name/Tow method/Tow notes/Tow completed/Repairs needed/Repair costs/Actual Sale Price/Check Amount/Check Date/Profit booked/
Report screen:
There are currently three PDFs which need to be printed with additional information on top of them, including signature images. ? There will be a report screen from which any of these forms can be printed, pulling the information related to one of the vehicles in the Inventory Management System.
