Authorize.net transaction errors in OScommerce

We have an oscommerce shopping cart for our online clothing company. We have been using [login to view URL] as our credit card processor for the past year and a half. Apparently, over the weekend there was a fire in an [login to view URL] datacenter causing slowing of the system and therefore all transactions timed out and although customers cards were billed, no orders were successfully processed. [login to view URL] claims the problem has been fixed, yet all our orders and test orders are getting error notifications and orders are not processing correctly, even when the cards are being charged. This still may be a problem on [login to view URL] end, but in the mean time we need to figure out a way to successfully process orders and there may be something on our end of things that can be adjusted to work properly.
