Assets Tracking system

I am looking to have build a software based on LAMP stack, which main purpose would be to track small company assets, since the core of the business is to build systems to order it would be great to have it under a database. The application needs to be very flexible to allow the administrator to enter the nodes and objects of it such hard drive models, disk drives models, cpus, memory and its respective manufacturer. Since it seems to be lots of problems with the spreadsheet here are the requirements that I had on the spreadsheet. We should be able to base it on [login to view URL], or can be written from scratch but with very similar looks and feel. It should allow me to create users and stipulate the level of access read, write, delete. It should keep track of every server and a log of people who make changes to it with a date stamp. It should allow me to create new objects that can later be incorporate it under the server for example if initially we have Disk Drives, Raid controllers, and later I would like to incorporate CPU's I should be able to do so. Users should be able to get a password via email if they forgot their password with captcha enable. Every single piece of hardware should include manufacturer name, serial number, firmware release, date of installation. It should allow to upload csv files in order to upload multiple drives with its manufacturer name, serial number and capacity. Also it would be nice to export as a pdf format. ## Deliverables Please find attached the spreadsheet which indicates how I am keeping track of equipment today, and what I am looking to have developed.
