AJAX/JS (JQuery, WYMeditor), Long-term opportunity(repost)

Our group seeks a front-end developer for front-end implementation of our custom web content platform. This job listing contains initial TEST tasks with the aim of finding a long-term front-end dev for our company. It is a non-design position, yet xhtml/css &/or usability/user interface skills are a bonus. This is an immediate opportunity. **SET-FEE TASK DETAILS:** 1. Fix config error on JQuery MenuEditor function. 2. Upgrade WYMeditor, ensure compatibility with existing customisations. 3. Within WYM Insert links of existing CMS pages through WYMeditor. 4. Implement 'Thickbox' alerts for WYM (plugin available). Ajax Stack: JQuery ([login to view URL]) WYMeditor ([login to view URL]) Pylons/SQLalchemy ([login to view URL]) - Python framework; Python skills not required. It is EXPECTED that further details, CMS/Server login, Trac ticket details, etc will be given to selected applicants in interview BEFORE commencement - at this time you can ensure you have all required details to A) Understand Requirements, B) Quote on task. **FUTURE TASK DETAILS:** * Fix bugs/add features to custom CMS interface elements: MenuEditor, FileManager. * Upgrade/add features to WYMeditor. * Custom client site customisations. * Develop custom/integrate JQuery interface components. **YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:** * AJAX & JavaScript experience, i.e. Prototype, Dojo, JQuery (preferred). * Available examples of your work. * Professionalism and enthusiasm; manage deadlines, be clear ask to your needs/make requests when required and be passionate! * EXCELLENT WRITTEN ENGLISH SKILLS. * COMMUNICATION Skills: provide regular updates, and prompt replies, ask queries to trouble-shoot, forecast deadlines, if in doubt: ask! ## Deliverables **Required experience & qualities:** * 2 years minimum professional experience * Highly motivated and professional; managing communication, requirements and deadlines. * Can deliver requirements and propose required changes. * Can communicate effectively; ask questions when not sure or clear about a problem - we require communication DAILY. * Able to work in their own location. * Broadband connection. **This is an ongoing opportunity DO NOT BID IF YOU CAN'T PROVIDE ONGOING CONSISTENT SERVICES. **
