Hi, I have a lot of experience in scraping website and in particular Amazon. As a matter of fact I just completed a project here on freelancer.com that involved getting prices from Amazon. I just want to set your expectations right and I have few questions. First off there are millions of items on Amazon. It takes about 3 seconds to load a page at that rate it would take already close to 40 days just to load 1 million pages. So to successfully scrape items you need to narrow down your scope. Hence my question: do you have a list of items to search for? If you do then I can gather the information for you. Otherwise if you shoot in the dark I could do it too but it would probably get years to get something that would be outdated by then anyway... Another thing to consider is the fact that Amazon will detect your IP and throttle the rate at which you receive answers unless you use a rotating proxy service and if you do the pages served maybe slightly different (for instance no Prime information). In any case if you have a list of items to check for and don;t expect 10000 records in an hour I can do it for you. I would use a web automation tool called iMacros that runs under Firefox. Hello! I am sure I can do this. Check out my profile for feedback about other scrappers. Note that I also developed a successful WP store which regularly pulled data from all Amazon stores using its affiliates API. Because you didn't mention it, I assume you don't want to use that API (which, by the way, delivered wrong prices quite often). The biggest challenge I see is the extent of products you want to get each time you run the script, as Amazon may not like it if you access hundreds of its pages on a very short period of time. If you don't need real-time data, you may prefer to introduce some delays between executions.
