I need code that will allow me to render Sonique, WMP and WinAmp plugins, as well as a variety of movie formats.
I already have a DLL that will render Sonique plugins if we pass it an IDirectDrawSurface object.
Additionally, I am also going to be rendering other graphics on top of the visualizations/movies,. I have a Win32 DLL that will be rendering these graphics - again after we pass it an IDirectDrawSurface before final rendering to the screen/form.
The requirements:
1) Need a framework that will utilize DirectX to render WMP, WinAmp and Sonique visualizations, in addition to movie formats (which formats it can render we will discuss)
2) I need it to be capable of passing an IDrectDrawSurface object to our Win32 DLL for additional rendering on top of the visualizations or movies.
3) Need full-screen capabilities (similar to how WMP goes full screen - without changing the resolution)
4) It will need to be fast.
5) It will need to be compatible with as many systems as possible. I'm not worried about Windows 98, just 2000+, but I have had many complaints of comparability issues using DirectX9 with .NET, so if this can be done in a more backwards-compatible way that will work with as many video cards and configurations as possible, that would be great.
## Deliverables
Right now I have a Win32 DLL that renders Sonique plugins and additional graphics. If you accept this project you'll be interacting with this DLL in that you'll be passing it an? IDirectDrawSurface object.?
The DLL renders 2 things: 1) Sonique plugins and 2) additional graphics unique to this project.
Some notes on this:
The DLL does not take advantage of video card acceleration so to keep things speedy I will need to render to a small area (say 320x240) and then have your code expand that to fit the form being rendered to, which may be full screen.
