Business Assessment Score Board

The Development of a web based business assessment tool for evaluating and prioritising factors impacting on business performance. The system is based on a scalable set of factors under a number of expandable categories. There are about 20-30 questions under 8 categories each category wit two or three sub categories. The system must be expandable so that new factors and categories can be added in the future without requiring new coding. Each factor is scored along a number of measures using a mix of qualitative and quantitative inputs fields (e.g. Low Medium High or a score fro 1 to 10). The results for each factor are calculated, (through simple addition, multiplications and where necessary a search through lookup tables). The results are clustered and prioritised in a final report. Access to the system needs to be secure and controlled and will need to support more than one company. A company might have more than one session as well as several version of each set of answers or sessions so that a company can manage its sessions and retrieve older assessments so that they can monitor their progress. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Web based application for microsoft explorer. A intuitive user interface is needed as the users are not IT professionals. The system needs to be windows based and developed using a .NET platform utilising Microsoft SQL. We have developed and tested a database schema for this system and prototyped some parts of it using ASP but feel that .net is a better approach.
