Hi Classic ASP project to create a menu system from the work we have already done. I am sure this will be a quick project for anyone who has created web menue with a drop down menu that are created from the data in an access database. Although I have given 5 days for this project I am in a rush! Thanks Malcolm ## Deliverables ASP menue system for Bluebell Data. This is a very quick ASP project and is based around creating and editing pages which can then be shown on a customer facing page on the internet. Top Level pages are shown on the main navigation where sublevel pages are a dropdown from the toplevel. Up to now due to inexperience we have only been able to show sublevels tied to one toplevel but I am sure it can be more flexible. There are two pages involved. First page is for adding and editing new pages to access database this is handled on the [login to view URL] There are several options but the one that is covered by this project is to tell the system if it is a "Top Level" page or not. If it is a top level page then it will appear as a main navigation item. If it is not a Top Level page then it becomes a sublevel page and you are asked what "Top level page to link to". My dilemma is how to tie a sublevel page with a Top Level page so that when you pull the information out of the database to display then we can show the top level page with any sublevel pages in the navigation. [login to view URL] is our navigation include (and is shown on any page in the members area) I have included all pages that make up the page. Under the "Extra" navigation you will see that we pull out all pages that we class at sublevel but this was done before I started implementing code to have sublevel pages tied to top level pages. The database [login to view URL] has a table called pages. My initial thoughts were to add "top_level" to show if it was a top level page or not and then if it was "0" would be put in "top_level_id" but if it was sublevel then "top_level" would be unticked and "top_level_id" would have the number of the page it is linked to. I now suspect it will need two tables linked but I am not sure that is why I put the project out for someone else to do it. Please note: page_id 1 to 9 are used for fix pages in our system it is the custom pages from 10 onwards that this applies to. This part of the project is from a much larger in house project where we may need further assistance because our normal ASP developer has now left the company. I am sorry about the lack of commenting (one reason he left the company!).
