3 Acrobat Pro Functionality Enhancements/Extensions --------------------------------------------------- 1. ENABLE TEXT SEARCH in Acrobat Pro - There are 2 solutions we can think of. First is opening up acrobat and search in pdf file and the second is creating a button in reader which can open/launch the same file in acrobat pro. A. Right now we use Acrobat Reader which can be opened up and searched with an example like: http://www.url.com/pdfs/abc.pdf#search="findme" We need to open up Acrobat Pro with same search results. or B. If you are in Acrobat Reader, with the link http://www.url.com/pdfs/abc.pdf#search="findme", you are already highlighting the keyword "findme" in the pdf. Unfortunately you cannot crop in Acrobat Reader, so we will need to switch to Acrobat Pro in order to crop where the keyword was found. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. SAVE FILENAME BUTTON in Acrobat Pro - If you click on a button it saves [login to view URL] to c:/pdfsavedir/abc-01.pdf. If you save [login to view URL] again it will check to see if [login to view URL] exists and add a counter with [login to view URL] and so forth ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. BUTTON THAT TAKES A CROPBOX AREA AND MOVES IT TO THE TOP CENTER OF THE PAGE WITH 1" MARGIN BETWEEN THE TOP OF THE PAGE AND THE TOP OF THE CROP BOX in Acrobat PRo - We use Acrobat Plugin AutoPageX right now to crop and add white space around a crop box, but we then have to move it manually to the top center with a bit of margin at the top. If the crop location was the same every time, it would be easy, but it isn't. Articles we crop are never in the same location on a page. We would like to automate with a button so the crop area is this top centered with a 1 inch margin at the top.
