Android calendar based display app

It's a simple app that would display some text (in HTML) based on the chosen date (dafault is the current day), one entry for each day. The text to be displayed is provided for the whole year (the format would be preferably XML) at specific URL and the app would have to be able to update its text database automatically or at manual request. The app would have to allow choosing a specfic date and show it's associated text. The app would have to notify (in the notification area) the user each day to view the day's entry. The app would have to be easy translatable (i18n). Depending on the success of the app, we're contemplating future releases with more features and possibly on others platforms (iPhone). The app would have to be delivered with full source code.
