I want to simulate a network topology in distributed systems which is basically like a framework to allow the integration of different traffic simulation models. This integration is based upon the sharing of link costs, connectivity and vehicles between simulations etc.,. My plan is to have one Master/Coordinator (star topology). And different participating simulations simply register with it and talk to the coordinator only. This Master/Coordinator then coordinates the execution of various tasks between each simulation.

To illustrate it with an example lets take a distribution problem. Lets say when one simulation is 'in charge' of certain objects, like a road or something and another is 'in charge' of other roads. However, these roads are interconnected so, we need synchronization between these simulations. And they should be able to exchange messages or invoke methods remotely.
