1. Summary and Background GreenifyingIT is a new company which focuses on providing innovative technical solutions which help in reducing the carbon emission and different waste produced by IT department of any company. GreenifyingIT is currently looking for a developer to create a template for their new website. The purpose of this proposal document is to give a clear scope about the required website template. 2. Project Purpose and Description The purpose of the project is to develop a static website for our company. The website will be hosted by the company and the content of the website will also be created by the GreenifyingIT staff. Through this project, the company intends to get the basic structure of the website created in any language in which the developer is comfortable. For more technical specification and the scope please refer to the project scope section. 3. Project Scope This is a 5-page website. The company is seeking templates for these pages: Home, About Us, Contact Us, Products and Services, and Our locations. Only templates for the pages are sought with dummy text. Actual content would be added by our staff later. We shall have a detailed discussion with the selected freelancer. The following criteria must be met to achieve a successful project: • 5 pages in total will need to be designed for the website. • It should have a user-friendly environment that is easy to navigate • All the pages should have a dummy background banner image which would be later replaced by our staff with the actual image. • There should be space on top-right corner for the company’s logo picture • All the pages should have a greenish color theme. • The product page should have each product listed with a photo and its price. • The design should be responsive i.e. the design should be scalable to mobile screen and tablet screen sizes. 4. Project Timeline GreenifyingIT encourages all developers to submit their bids at the earliest. We would be evaluating every bid as it comes and will select the first vendor that meets our evaluation criteria. Since only design mockups are sought, the company would like to receive the designs before the thanksgiving i.e. November 27. 5. Budget Greenifying IT will like the project to be completed under a total cost of $40. 5. Bidder Qualification A bidder should provide the following information regarding its qualifications: 1. Project execution plan, including cost and timeline 2. Online portfolio or past samples of work done relevant to this assignment 3. Number of years of experience in website development 4. Technical skills 6. Proposal Evaluation Criteria The proposal would be evaluated based on weighted factor calculation. Each bidder would be rated out of 100 points based on below points: 1. Cost: The most economical bid would be preferred 2. Past experience: Quality of online portfolio and/or past work experience 3. Technical expertise: Web 2.0 development skills with a keen eye for minimalistic design 4. Timeline: Earlier the designs can be submitted, the better
