HI I did two very very similar projects to this (transport products - very similar / and pickup bigbags (pickup service)) and based on experience and your project description we can build the site using wordpress; with a custom plugin for functionality of Transporters/ users and orders. For the payments part and manage orders we can use the woocommerce plugin. This is how I planned to Build the project. In the plugin we build it has all the features including manage transporters, communication , reporting module and form to accept orders. We can build this form as a multi step form if you have more criteria to select upon a purchase like transport location , type to calculate the fees. And upon the submission of the form we create a custom order in woocommerce with the service they wanted. also we can auto assign the transport to your transporters based on the users zip code or any matching criteria. Once the order is created we send users to checkout page for the purchase. The checkout page is from woo-commerce thus you can add as many as payment gateway options here with plugins and extend the functionality. This is a big advantage. Once the payments are made transporter are also notified and admin also. And transporter can either accept to deliver or reject. In case if they reject to deliver then we can build option for admin to assign that order for another transporter so he will notified about the new assignment.
