Create a website that will block porn sites using people power. The site will require 5 levels of access. 1) Users – Will need to put in their email address to use the program and set up a nick name. General people who can block sites. (anyone who downloads the program will have the ability to be a user, including checkers, overseers etc) . The user can also send an email to a checker to unblock a site they have blocked in error. 2) Checkers – Who login to check to see that sites blocked by the Users should be blocked and can also unblock a site for the users. 3) Overseers - Who can login to authorize a checker and set up their logon details. They will also see the sites the checker are not blocking. 4) Authorized persons - Who can authorize and dismiss the overseers and checkers. Will have the same ability as checkers. 5) Directors – Who can authorize and dismiss the ‘Authorized persons’. Functions 1) Users – need to be able to right click on an internet site and have the option to block it. Immediately that site needs to be blocked on the user’s computer. At regular intervals all the sites blocked by the user needs to be sent to the checkers. 2) Checkers – Will need to be able to go in and select the number of sites they would like to check in amounts of 10/20/50. They will see the number of sites chosen that have been blocked by a user and they will then click on any site they feel should not be blocked and unblock it. Once checked they will have to tick a disclaimer down the bottom stating they have checked the sites above and believe they should be blocked and enter their 4 digit checker code. Sites blocked will then go into the core files (all sites that are blocked by the program). 3) Overseers – Can set up checkers with logins and their checker coders. Will get reports on individual checker showing the sites they have said don’t need to be blocked. The report will also show the user who blocked the site. They cannot dismiss a checker, they will need to email the overseers to recommend someone be dismissed. 4) Authorized person – Who can authorize and dismiss the overseers and checkers. They will also get a report on the time users who are blocking sites to monitor numbers. 5) Directors – Full access to the site and can dismiss or block anyone using the site. 6) The site needs to have a chat room with normal functions such as reporting abusive users and also to suspend users. Authorized persons will monitor the reported chat log. 7) Directors will need to be able to add pages and change content on pages. 8) At regular intervals the site needs to update the core files to the user’s computers by sending out the blocked site’s list that has been checked by the checkers. 9) Each new user needs to get the updated core list at regular so that these sites are already blocked. Effectively information needs to be going through a chain where the user blocks a site, checker makes sure it should be blocked and then all sites checked need to go back to the users computer as blocked. Users would need to be aware that the program will be updating and making changes to their computer at regular intervals. will need to get around antivirus software. Quarantine – Will need to be able to quarantine users who set up computer programs to block multiple sites that shouldn’t be blocked and in affect making our site ineffective as it will overload the checkers. Could you please let me know of any other security issues you may see? Is there any ongoing costs I need to think about?
