Thanks guys. The main project involves an extensive database full of player profiles that would initially start with around 400-600 unique subjects, and expand by 100-150 each year. On top of that I would start with a basic home page development and design that would have maybe 4-8 links from the home page.
- For reference of something I’d be looking for, I’ve already started a squarespace website with the cover page about halfway completed.
The main project would be to create a sortable database of basketball player rankings. Within this “rankings” page I would like either a dropdown menu that sorts by year, or multiple links on the page that will send me to a separate page for the corresponding year (1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, all) – the pages for each individual year will look the same, just be titled different. I would have the ability to add and change the athletes in a user-friendly platform from the backend.
- Each year will have a ranking list of players, similar to these pages:

o It’ll have similar columns and data as the above websites, with a few tweaks
o Within this page I would like the user to also have the ability to sort by position (C, PF, SF, SG, G), sort by country, etc. – multiple sorting features.
In addition, I would like a separate search tool that will allow users to search within the entire database of all players, somewhat like the page below, but most likely without as many criteria to choose from: [login to view URL]
- The user will be able to click on each player in the database, and their player page will look very similar to this page:

o I’d want basic profile info at the top – this would include basic info like name, DOB, link to twitter, facebook, intagram accounts, height and weight (height and weight should be in a form where they could be sorted by within the entire batabase), etc.
o I like the multiple tabs this page shows, and also would want a similar “player traits” section with icons similar to the ones shown on the above site (we may have to design those icons if I can’t just use the ones already on this site and maybe change the colors)
- Within each player page, there will be a lot of data and also a stats tab. I would like the capability of importing bulk data from Excel into the database, without having to go player by player. Not all my data would be in the excel file, and I would also need a way to upload a profile picture, as well as potentially embed video down the line (video could be a separate tab on the player profile)
I am also looking for the following capability:
A survey function that will automatically upload into the player's page tab : w/ multiple languages management and google translate.
Other Necessities:
1. Mobile/tablet friendly design setup (frontend + backend)
2. Login/signup/forgot password function
Potential Other Functions depending on price:
1. Ability to scrub data from existing websites, and import that into my subject profiles (DOB, statistics, name, height, weight, etc.) These are the types of websites I’d want to scrub from:

- I would gather all their facebook pages on my own, then send them a mass message that would contain a link to my survey (this message would come across their facebook as separate – they wouldn’t see the other people I sent the message to)

While you gave a good and pretty complete description of what you require, it still lacks detailed information on each of the items.
I can offer you two things:
1. To work for a week on building a proper document describing the site you require, with a complete description of each of the requirements, with graphics mock-ups of the several pages required. With that in your hands later you can look for a developer or company to give you a realistic quote and time frames.
