As of the Project execution is concerned for this Product Design, the milestones that are to be met are as follows: 1. Concept Design - will comprise of simple Pencil sketches followed by Concepts of 3D CAD Model 2. Detail Design - after the review, interaction and feedback, we shall tweak the concept to provide much more details about would it actually be in 3D. P.S : 3D CAD Modeling will be carried out in Solidworks 3. Design Validation - The design shall be validated using FEA. Here I intend to use Solidworks Simulation Premium for FEA on the Product, this will help in seamless interaction between the 3D CAD environment and FEA environment, and from my experience, under the same set of conditions, Solidworks Simulation and Ansys yield very close results. Use of tool is immaterial. 4. Creation of FEA report and FEA Result Interpretation 5. Design Tweaks if any after running the FEA 6. Detail Drawings - 2D Drawing creations for the Product. 7. Review and QC shall be carried at every stage. The idea of the product is to create a modular product where it easy to assembly, carry, and maintain. Hope I have got the idea right !
