Device/PCB Design

Hey all I wish to create a device prototype, I have a strong software engineering background and have limited knowledge of electrical engineering. I would describe the operations of the system I require as somewhat similar to the operations of a very simple 'wifi radio'. This online tutorial indeed describes how to build a simple wifi radio from scratch for relatively cheap - [login to view URL] I cannot build this quickly myself as I do not have much experience with a soldering iron amougst other things! Anyone interested in taking on this project should have at least a glance at the tutorial above as this is very close to what I require. There are however a few changes I would like - - The tutorial uses an old router as the main hardware. It would be great to use a pcb design more specfic to the application, so that only required components are on the pcb, however as I cannot provide any expertise on this matter myself I will need to discuss this with the bidder. - I would like a microphone connected that can transmit the sound data as mp3 over the wifi. - No casing is required as the device will in fact not be used as a wifi radio and this is only a prototype anyway. - If possible I want the device powered by battery. - The sound output will only ever be headphones and not speakers.
