The Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne, Victoria, have digitised our Books of Remembrance containing the 89,100 names of those Victorians who enlisted and served in the First World War 1914-18. We need the names transcribed from the image into an Excel spreadsheet to be part of a web based searchable database. Each image contains a list of names of those who served with the following information: Surname 1st Initial 2nd Initial (where applicable) 3rd Initial (where applicable) No. - must be recorded as digits (where applicable) Post-Nominals (where applicable) A sample page is attached for prospective Freelancers to examine. The project will consist of 75 such pages, each with approximately 30 names for transcription (per page). The data entry will need to be completed as a .csv (Excel) file.
