Hello I can suggest you way without CPU (coding) for your task. I includes only current transformer, OP AMP (with adj gain), IC with led driver output and components like caps, resistors etc. Circuit is able to work with few seven segment. Wait for your decision

You you want the display to show you need an alternative power source for an example a rechargeable battery. Other things are pretty standard, what is the max current you want to display with 0.1 A accuracy?

Hi. This is an easy project to be done for an experienced person like me in the field of Data Acquisition and Monitoring. I have done work on Arduino Mega2560, and I can provide you the solution in 3-4 days. As you have completed the current sensing part using current transformer. All you need is to read the voltage from the transformer. You may have to attenuate the voltage for the ADC to read the voltage, and later convert it into current. I have interfaced seven segments with arduino, and other controllers. The later part regarding displaying the current before the power loss can be done using sensing and monitoring the AC mains presence. It can provide you the solution with some isolated sensing in order to prevent any shock on accidentally touching the circuit. This all can be done in 3-4 days. regards, Hammad Tariq

I have worked on Arduino and 7 segment displays and have good understanding of them. I have developed proximity sensor which showsthe distance of any object on 7-segment display.
