Display choice to enter for program Build menue to offer # of choices Should look like this: Parking lot Menu 1. Build data center to hold information about Parking lot status Vehicles currenlty in system Status of vehicles 2. Build parking lot simulation of 2560 locations/capacity operating 24/7 Parking Spot locations Day Hour Shift# 3. Build the Vehicles for the 7680 employess/users Parking lot structure: Parking lot is made up of several levels of clusters 1. DC the main control center of parking 2. The DB has four region controllers 3. The RC has four children, called group controllers 4. Each GC has four children, called access points 5. Each AP has 40 parking spots (vehicles) Each spot should keep track of Licence plate arrival time departure time location status Primary VMM (harddrive data) (simulated 1 GB of information, how much is used .25Gb/.5GB/.75 or 1gb) Secondary VMM (same as above, possible to hold 1 GB of information) Alternate VMM (possible to hold 1 GB of another VMM from other unit) 4. Load first shift in to parking lot parking lot has a capacity of 2,560 vehicles to be full when the simulation begins load first shift vehicles 5. Shift changes 8 shifts per 24 hours Shift Change at hour 00 03 06 09 12 15 18 21 Every simulated 30 mins check all cars status At 45 minute marks transfer of data to data center Vacate 320 vehicles before shift change New arriving vehicle picks one of the available parking spots at random Step through the shifts starting with first shift at 00 Second shift at 03 -Keep track of new cars added 6. A simulated Map-Reduce job 7. Calculate how much data there is to transfer/migrate
