My project is an accounting software named “SMART ACCOUNTS” in which we enter transactions according to double entry system and system will give us accurate accounting statements and can see updated data at any time. My software will contain a menu/tab system where the operator after opening the software, he/she has to enter user name and password for authentication. The operator can operate the software but can’t change its database settings. There will be two types of accounts administrators and users. Administrator can add new company and change database attributes where as the user can only enter, delete, modify data in the software and can print ad see statements. The user can enter following types of vouchers:
1. Cash payment voucher
2. Cash received voucher
3. Bank payment voucher
4. Bank received voucher
5. Journal voucher
User can add data for customers, suppliers, products and inventory items. The user can get and print account information, ledger information, trial balance and profit loss statement. The user can produce and print sale invoice, purchase invoice. User can edit and delete any transaction which he add at any time
Administrator can start a new company and can edit the data of company at any time. Administrator can add the new users and can give them permission according to needs. Administrator can add fiscal year for the next session.
