We are looking for a skilled developer that will be able to implement and test an efficient 3D bin packing algorithm (3BPP) suitable for container/truck loading optimization. Given a finite set of boxed items, the optimizer should be able to plan the best space utilization inside one or more containers according to common loading rules and user-defined objectives. We will provide the following resources to start the project: • Project overview and requirements • Technical documents for the BPP algorithm (public domain) • Class model that represents our logistics scenario • I/O procedures needed to load and save data from XML files • Winforms canvas that can be used to display 3D graphics If this project will be successfully completed in a reasonable time frame, we’ll gladly continue the collaboration to improve the algorithm and to adapt it to other load planning needs (e.g. pallets, mixed pallets, ULD, warehouse racks)

If you are satisfied, you buy the solution, if not you can still hire someone else. From what I understand, I propose to build a single class called PackingOptimization with a methode called "optimize". This function would take three arguments : the path of the input xml, the path of the output xml, and an array for data parameters. To better help you, I would need the documentation available about the requirements and the format of XML feeds.
