My work is online game developing, and mainly focus on server side, the language is c++ under linux. can probably port some of my existing code, for a quick solution for you! what are you trying to do? just connect multiple clients to a server? what's the data exchange? if it's just connections and data, it's quick and a day's work :) if you're doing RPC it'll take longer
