The aim of this project is to successfully develop a training system that will assist the shooter in realizing when he/she has stopped the gun. Objectives ● Alert the user when the gun is stopped at any point before the trigger is pulled. ● Alert the user if the gun movement is sped up, due to previous stopping or rushing. ● Buzzer/light to alert user ● User-friendly interface to interpret shooter data. An MPU6050 Accelerometer will be mounted to the gun. The accelerometer will be connected to a Raspberry Pi to extract the data received. When the shooter begins to tract the object, the acceleration force will increase, as the shooter follows the object t, the acceleration should drop to 0 because the user should be maintaining the same speed as the target. If there is a sudden de-acceleration before the trigger is pulled then this should alert the user because they have made an error. A slight acceleration before the trigger is pulled will be allowed because, when shooting most crossing targets, the shooter should slightly accelerate in front of the target before shooting. All data received will be compared to one of 4 possible scenarios.

Hi, I have worked on several projects on Raspberry pi. And there are in progress projects using raspi. This project to use SPI to read data from MPU6050 and we can do other data processing once the data is with raspi. You can use display that connects to HDMI or analog video out port to give feedback to the user rather using lights. But if you are specific about using light indication, we can use gpio pin to trigger light/buzzer. A monitor with speaker or external speaker can replace light/buzzer etc proving both visual output and sound output using mp3 audio files. Full screen indication to the user will have good impact on trainee. I don't have MPU6050 hardware with me right now. If this project is awarded then I will try to arrange for it. Thanks!

Hi, I am a robotics and mechatronics Engineer I have an accelerator, raspberry pi and LEDs to test the outputs. I am not sure how this system is to be integrated with the user, for example is the user wearing the raspberry pi? How is the sensor connected to the gun? Would you like me to put together a user interface? From the requirements I can write the software for the task. If you require anything else I am also happy to assist, this could be hardware and wiring set up. I have proposed 20 days to allow plenty of feedback from you as the project progresses. I look forward to discussing the project further. Regards, Ryan Messina Ryan Messina
