AOL Instant Messanger (AIM) Bot or Plugin

Fairly simple project I'm just swamped with other work. The SDK can be downloaded for free or I can send it to you 3MB too big to attach here. I would prefer VB6 code so I can learn from it but if C++ is faster that's OK too, I just don't know C++ as well. The SDK is basically two COM objects that allow you to do anything AIM software can do and interfaces you to the AIM network. I need to create an AIM bot/plugin (free SDK from [login to view URL]) that will allow our staff (from their remote loacation using AIM obviously) to "check in/out" by sending an IM to the bot such as "sign me in" or "Ready for work". This is to let the bot know to store that user name in the database of people ready to work. Same is true for when someone goes offline, away, or sends a sign out IM such as "sign me out" or "Quit". The Bot should keep adding and removing people from the DB as needed so that it always knows who is ready and willing to work. The bot will look for new pictures to be uploaded in a directory (needs to br definable in a control panel interface). The bot should store the name of the file in the DB and send the picture via DirectIM (a feature of AIM that allows you to send inline pictures without having to initiate a file transfer) to one of the users that is ready to work, it should cycle through the list of people ready to work to spread the work evenly among all those accepting work. The bot will listen for a response from the person it sent the picture too. This response will be an aproval code or "Deny. The bot will store the Response in the database with the name of the file sent and the person who responded. There will have to be some handling in here in case the user response is an auto response from their AIM client that they are away (they forgot to sign out and walked away from their PC). Every loop of the program should check the status of the users and auto log them out if they are offline or away. If No one is available to work it should write a value to the DB to reflect no workers available and when someone logs in change that bit in DB back to ready. This is so another script I have that is placing the pic in the directory will know to stop putting the pics in the directory until there are poeple ready to work. A simple true/false result for 'Ready' feild is fine. I need a few tables. Status Table: ..feild: ....Ready (bolean) Users Table: ..Feilds: ....LoggedIn (String with AIM name of "ready" user) ....Timestamp (datetime last sent a message, reverse sort so person who was sent work the longest ago gets next assignment) WorkToBeDone Table: ..Feilds: ....Filename (string containing name of file sent) ....AssignedTo (String, AIM user name file was sent to) ....ResultCode (string, response from User) ....SentTime (timestamp when picture sent) ....RecTime (Timestamp when aproved)
