I need to export app data to a Finder folders, it would be bib file generated by reference manager references

I need to be able to improve on existing scripts. One of them will place a file link from Devonthink onto Bookends (reference manager) field "User20", but I have to search for the same file within Bookends and Devonthink for this script to work. I need the script to find the file and suggest it to me for further action. The second macro I need is for Applescript to search for PDFs based on title keyworks and/or title of work and find a match within Bookends existing references.
