The app will need to connect to the web using user name and password, then will get a token, with the token it should ask the server every minute or so if there is work to do, if there is work the server will response with json based with the work, the work will then be stored and worked on using function already exist when the work is done there is broadcast receiver that gets notify that the job is done and can then execute a response to the server. there will need a few activities one to login / edit login, activity for the app status / start/ end. and an activity to set device id. you must be able to write concise and clean organized code. if you have any questions please contact me.

Hello, i have big experience working with rest-api. I will use Robospice (it's robust library for rest request). 1) does app should be compatible with 4.0 devices or just 5+ ? (modern compat library makes same design posible with both version) 2) i suggest you use android sync service for instead of service/broadcast reciever. This approach will follow android guidelines and as additional you will have sync settings screen in device settings. If job is done app will just notify android system to make sync. Also it will improve power consumption. Json will be parsed with Jackson it is fastest android library for parsing. best regards, Sergey
