1. Have your language attitudes towards any language variety (language, dialect, etc.) changed since you were younger? If so, how? If not, which attitudes do you think you still hold that you always did and what factors contribute to them? Please take a critical look at your own language attitudes and discuss whether you think knowing more about different dialects or foreign accents changes how you feel about them, or whether your language attitudes are just a reflection of your social attitudes and thus aren't changed based on information about the language varieties themselves. Also, who do you think has had the most influence on your language attitudes in your life (parents, teachers, friends, etc.) and why?(500 words) 2. Answer two following questions(about 600 words): Question 1: If you are to conduct a linguistic or sociolinguistic experiment, what would you want study? Please state exact question of the research, means you are going to use to do the study, and what you expect to find. Please be very specific with your description of the experiment. How are you going to collect the data? Who are the subjects of your proposed experiment and where are you going to conduct it? Why is this experiment interesting/important? What do you think the outcome of this experiment will be? Question 2: If you could make a movie on a language-related topic that would be viewed by every single American, what topic would you choose?
