Read the following case study and answer the 3 questions - Tom and Ahmed work in the same travel agency. Ahmed’s parents are from Pakistan, but he was born in Australia. Tom and Ahmed don’t get along very well, as Tom often makes racist remarks to Ahmed and treats him like an inferior. This makes Ahmed very angry and they argue a lot. This means that the two of them do not communicate unless absolutely necessary and if someone rings and leaves a message with either one of them, they do not pass the messages onto each other. This results in not getting back to existing clients and potential customers. a) Identify the conflict that exists. b) How could this conflict affect the other staff members and the travel agency as a whole? c) How can this conflict be resolved?
