Contest Brief

Hi! We're a real estate company who needs a voice talent to make us look and sound good when someone calls our office phone. Here's what we need:

- 6 professional recordings to upload into our phone answering system. Don't worry, these are short recordings -- total of only 500 words so it shouldn't take long (see attached Transcript).

Recordings: Start each recording at the BOLD text and end at the next BOLD text (do NOT read anything in BOLD text on the Transcript -- the BOLD text is for labeling purposes only).

Music: We prefer background music, but it's up to you. We want each recording to sound professional, warm, friendly, and INVITING, so however you want to do this is up to you.

All recordings MUST be in English and of high quality.

File format: MP3 or wav

Labels: Label each recording file using the corresponding BOLD text (e.g., the 1st file should be labeled Opening, 2nd file Seller, 3rd file Buyer, etc.)

IMPORTANT: Freelancer no longer allows file uploads for contests. Instead, upload your file to Dropbox or Soundcloud and leave a post a link.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks.

John

The ability or inability to upload a sound file as an entry may just be the way the contest was created- but I am not totally sure about that. This is the first "contest" I've ever taken part in. But, the logical way for Freelancer to code their system is to let the contest creator do it by keyword/skill-set. So, I'm guessing 1 of two things... Freelancer either totally forgot about anything having to do with audio in these contests, OR the skillset (ie: voice actor, voice-over etc) was not included in the contest keywords when created- thus disallowing any audio files to be used as submissions. Either way, it's a real bummer not being able to upload a file directly to the creator. My two cents, and probably not even worth THAT much. ;) Thankfully, my Voicemail / Auto-attendant / IVR demo is already on my Freelancer profile here. Beware also, Freelancer has been known to penalize those who use outside site links like Soundcloud, YouTube etc.

Very, very nice! It's just a bit too "sleepy". Perfect for a spa IMO, but would prefer the background music with a tad bit more energy.

Freelancer, at one time, allowed uploads. Now if the project owner messages the freelancer the freelancer can add an attachment to the message. Otherwise send it to the cloud or dropbox and provide the link to the project owner.

Not a problem - Freelancer seems to have forgotten the importance of uploading demos and files for projects. I would guess it was a cost reduction.

According to one Freelancer, the Freelancer website may no longer allow uploads (I've contacted them and am waiting an answer). Can you attach a file to this message? If not, try sending it to dropbox and provide the link back to me.

I've contacted Freelancer to see why you can't upload files. I'll let you know what I find out. There's nothing on my end I can do that I can see.
