Paint Quotes (minimalist style)

Contest Brief

We need to create from scratch a background template, on top of which we will write short sentences (quotes and aphorisms).

A strong emotional impact is required.

We prefer (prefer) minimalist solutions, mostly focused on font and background color. Two-tone solutions will also be considered. Few graphic elements can be found in the background. Patterns are ok.

The most important requirement is that the material submitted must be original and previously
unpublished.

The target group of the final product (wall panel) is young adults (17-24 years old).
Traditional design will not meet the target taste and therefore will not be considered.

The final printing dimensions are 200x80 cm.

The design should be neutral, in order to easily combine the same graphic with any type of sentence (such as love, death, environment, nature, traveling, wisdom, work, inspirational, etc.).
Themed design will therefore be inappropriate. For example, small hearts will be ok close to a love
quote, but will not have anything to do with a quote about nature. Similarly, graphics with small
cars or space-ships will be appropriate only with sentences regarding engines, speed, cars or quotes about science-fiction and space things.

There will be two text boxes: quote and author.

Only horizontal or vertical writing is allowed, not diagonal.
The dimension and the type of the font must remain the same throughout.

The text boxes can be placed freely on the sheet.

Use as test sentence:
“Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has the more one wants.”

Use as author:
Benjamin Franklin

The font used must not be under copyright.
We therefore require the name and the origin of the font, in order to verify that the font is free.

We recommend using the websites:
htp://www.dadafont.com
http://www.fontsquirrel.com.
Please always double check the license. You must always choose a font with "FREE FOR COMMERCIAL USE" written beside it. Please remember to read the font license.

Also check Google Fonts, where all fonts are free but not very nice.

The final file must be submitted in Illustrator format.

Attached you will find 4 example files; these do NOT have a minimalist design. However, they give (only) an idea of how the final product should look. Please refer to these files ONLY as examples.

Hasty workers, copy cats and time-wasters please refrain from participating.

Hi! I thought the dimensions were 200x80 cm. However, it seems you are accepting designs in other dimensions (or aspect ratio) as well
