Contest Brief

I need a modern and visually appealing logo for the American International Academy's (AIA) marching band, The Sonic Storm. The logo will represent both our middle and high school bands. The colors for the middle school are navy blue, grey, black, and white, and for the high school, maroon, grey, white, and black. We also need a generic black and white version that can go on any color shirt. The logo should include the following elements:

- A Viking mascot: The Viking is our band's mascot and should be a prominent feature in the logo.
- Thunderbolts & Clouds: We'd like to incorporate thunderbolts & Clouds into the design.
- Something Music Related: While we're open to creative ideas, the logo should also reflect that it's for a music ensemble/marching band, so elements related to music could be interesting.

I'm looking for a modern style of design that will appeal to both our middle and high school students.

Ideal skills and experience for this project include:
- Proficiency in graphic design and logo creation
- Experience in creating modern and engaging designs
- An understanding of how to incorporate multiple elements into a single, cohesive design
