Contest Brief

I’m currently starting a new home and gift company, one retail boutique and e-commerce. I have found it quite hard to think of a name for my company but have decided to name it Wattle & Home. I came to this conclusion as I spent 7 years living in Australia and their symbol is the wattle tree. I chose home to symbol my return home with my family (husband and daughter being Australian!) Now I just need a logo and branding kit for my home and gift boutique. As I’m only starting out I can’t afford a complete design package from a big graphic design company hense, let’s see what you guys can come up with!!
Please include: primary logo, secondary logos, favicon, colour palette and Instagram highlight icon, brand patterns.

    Hi Everybody, thank you so much for all your entries. There are some really great designs on here. I do like the designs with the integrated words and images, I have been advised that it is best to seal the contest as I am getting quite a few that look similar. There is still 5 more days to enter. I will try my best to start making comments on the designs, I have only managed to star them at the moment. Thank you again for all your entries!

    Hello, you might notice that almost all the design submitted was in mockup. I suggest to also take a look without in the mockup (White Background). So that you can clearly see it if they look good still without it :)

    Hello CH! I'm interested to participate in your contest. It would be nice if you can #sealed the contest. Some of the designers feel confident to participate in contests that offer to protect them work by sealing it (so only you can see it). Also, it is a plus cuz nobody copies other designer’s work.

    Also you can use this following links to have an idea of what is a generic prefab logo: (beware! Because you might get something similar to these as well, happens almost every time)

    Now you can be sure which designer is giving you a design completely made by itself and you can feedback and rating to guide them get better. Some of the designers feel more confidence to participate in contests that offer to protect them work by sealing it and by guaranteeing the final price.
